Misled misconstrued convoluted and deluded

They said it would be alright
And to my delight
I did not have to fight
But they were not right

Agreement delayed
Exuberance portrayed
Minds were frayed
None of us were paid

Outright convoluted
Underminingly misconstrued
Overwhelming deluded
The story is to be continued
