Missing it All
At night I pray
That you still lay
Beside me
In my bed
To keep me warm
Away from harm
Just like you had said
I sure do miss
The way we’d kiss
How your eyes rolled back
To me you’re great
Even though I hate
This disaster of an attack
It hasn’t stopped
Since we last talked
My heart dies more each day
The pain is real
That I still feel
It will not go away
I will still cry
Even though I try
Not to think about the past
I put on a show
For all who know
Together we didn’t last
Don’t you dare
Act like you won’t care
About me anytime at all
You had my heart
From the very start
Even before I began to fall
Tonight I lay
In my bed and pray
That you will be just fine
I’ll blow a kiss
Since I sure miss
The you when you were mine
That you still lay
Beside me
In my bed
To keep me warm
Away from harm
Just like you had said
I sure do miss
The way we’d kiss
How your eyes rolled back
To me you’re great
Even though I hate
This disaster of an attack
It hasn’t stopped
Since we last talked
My heart dies more each day
The pain is real
That I still feel
It will not go away
I will still cry
Even though I try
Not to think about the past
I put on a show
For all who know
Together we didn’t last
Don’t you dare
Act like you won’t care
About me anytime at all
You had my heart
From the very start
Even before I began to fall
Tonight I lay
In my bed and pray
That you will be just fine
I’ll blow a kiss
Since I sure miss
The you when you were mine
