Motherless Child

Abandoned.
Tossed away.
Secrets and lies.
As if from below your bosom,
With the umbilical cord gone,
We no longer have any ties.
Forty-three long years, to you I looked,
for who I should be.
Succumbed to your shell by fears,
Seeing the injustices yet you won't stand up for me.
From the Heavens above, to you, I was lent,
It was supposed to be a forever commitment.
Battered, abused, beatdown, mind weak;
Never again will it be your heartbeat I seek.
As you sit with your lips tightly sealed,
Withholding the truth from being revealed;
Allowing my world to be torn down,
don't think for a single minute my view of you,
Remains as Queen,
Your head no longer wears my crown.
Sitting silent, as false allegations are being told,
To the devil your tarnished soul was sold.
Broke all promise and failed as a mother to protect me;
So waste away in your pathetic greed,
From me you are forever freed; crazy, wild, left to be,
Unprotected, abandoned, your motherless child.
