Mr. Postman
I still watch our tv shows
Laugh at the same old jokes
And kiss your pillow each and every night
Still take walks under a star lit sky
And at dinner pour two glasses of wine
Still take our Sunday drive
Only if we're home by five
It's different but I'm not ready to change
Still dance to our favorite tune
As if you're there to
I guess somethings will remain the same
The kids and I are doing fine
They've moved out to live their lives
It's just me on the porch in my chair
As I watch the days go by I can't help but cry
Until I get to see you up there
I stare out the window
And think of memories
I laugh to myself on the inside
I was so in love with you
I don't know what to do
Until we meet again
These letters I'll write
Hey Mr. Postman
Can you do me a favor
I need to get a letter to my love
To tell her I miss her, I think of her and I love her
The address is to heaven above
And could you ask her to wait before she walks through the pearly gates
If she can't I understand
We did everything together
I promised forever
She's my woman
And I'm her man
Laugh at the same old jokes
And kiss your pillow each and every night
Still take walks under a star lit sky
And at dinner pour two glasses of wine
Still take our Sunday drive
Only if we're home by five
It's different but I'm not ready to change
Still dance to our favorite tune
As if you're there to
I guess somethings will remain the same
The kids and I are doing fine
They've moved out to live their lives
It's just me on the porch in my chair
As I watch the days go by I can't help but cry
Until I get to see you up there
I stare out the window
And think of memories
I laugh to myself on the inside
I was so in love with you
I don't know what to do
Until we meet again
These letters I'll write
Hey Mr. Postman
Can you do me a favor
I need to get a letter to my love
To tell her I miss her, I think of her and I love her
The address is to heaven above
And could you ask her to wait before she walks through the pearly gates

I promised forever
She's my woman
And I'm her man
