Music\'s colorful timeline

being brought to life throughout the ages

colored notes flash across an azure sky
as they jump up and down moving side to side,
back and forth in four quarter time
matched with bright lyrics that sometimes rhyme

the soothing blues for when i’m down
or the clashing colors of jazz surrounds
black lights accenting the florescent ground
cutting a red jitterbug is where i’ll be found

then a new sound of rock-n-roll
psychedelic colors dance on the wall
here comes the girl with kaleidoscope eyes
constantly changing, as do our lives

the blind man finger paints his tune, his ears must be clear
for we’ll still hear his colors play, when he’s no longer here
each one of us chooses which pigment we'll see
while music plays on indefinitely.
