My Gem

When I walked along
The sea beach,
Noticed a gem
Shining under the water.
I just picked it stealthily
And checked it closely.

But a huge wave
Suddenly came to my way
To snatch my gem.
Losing my glory, again
I started to walk alone.
Suddenly, something struck
My feet; with heavy heart,
Bend down my head.
Found that shiny gem
Again peeking out from
Under watery sand.
Quickly I grabbed it
Within my two palms.
Till today, I am having
To grab it within my palms,
Within my heart, just like
My best friend.
