Peeking Through

Sitting here and peeking through,
is something curious and of bloom

It purrs with a melody,
sneaking through the meadow leaves

Climbing on a cherry tree,
jumping,
crawling,
on four feet

It strives through the blades of grass,
spots a bird,
then gives a gasp

It nibbles on a flower,
while looking at the moon

Rolling on it's back,
scratching for the rat

Curiosity is what it did not lack!
