please, fall asleep

the thoughts of him that invade your conscious mind in the dead of night, leave teardrops running down your cheeks and silent sobs hidden beneath the sheets

he once again has made you feel worthless without even trying

why do you let him do this? they ask
oh i'm sorry, i forgot i'm not suppose to forgive men so easily

why do you give him the opportunity to hurt you? they ask
like it's my fucking fault he won't love me they way i loved him

like muddy puddles on a rainy day

you are those muddy puddles and he is the rain that has postponed your activities one too many times.

he is the rain that makes you stay inside all day, hoping for sun but in return getting nothing but thunder and lightning

next time, bring your fucking umbrella.

either i don’t want to wake up or i don’t want to fall asleep. there’s never an inbetween where i’m happy.
