Pure Surrender
through these ruins I wander
ash stains my steps
remnants of despair
I shift among the relics
of my tormented memories
I struggle to surface
my mind ensnared
in its own cruelty
these burdens
I will always carry
a heart heavy of sorrow
flush with regret
I am not a man
nor shall I be again
though the winds change
I will never forget
withdraw the mark
of another wound
hold dear within
my validity
I will rise born of clarity
a pure surrender
keep the sworn
in my grace
forever more
ash stains my steps
remnants of despair
I shift among the relics
of my tormented memories
I struggle to surface
my mind ensnared
in its own cruelty
these burdens
I will always carry
a heart heavy of sorrow
flush with regret
I am not a man
nor shall I be again
though the winds change
I will never forget
withdraw the mark
of another wound
hold dear within
my validity
I will rise born of clarity
a pure surrender
keep the sworn
in my grace
forever more
