Rabbit Hole

I can’t.
I just can’t any more.
My hands are shaking,
My grades are at an all time low
My parents tell me to try harder
But I’m giving all that I’ve got.

“You better hope that your grades raise”
But why should I?
Hoping for something better
Has given me nothing
More than
Disappointment.

My mental state is spiraling
Down, down, down
Like I threw it
Down a white
Rabbit’s
Hole.

So I think having hope is just foolish.
