Rainbow after the storm

Can't wait to see that rainbow that everyone says comes after the storm
For even when the storm has passed,
you are left with the damages it has caused

Pick up the pieces, find a new start
Having to let go of all that you have just lost

How can you believe that there is a rainbow after the storm?
When there is no hope within to even cry to the Lord

You cannot take back all that was and the thought that you know deep inside
all along you desired so much more than what you had

What lesson will this storm teach me?
Is it even possible to prepare for the next storm that may be approaching

How can you build everything back up with the fear that it may all fall apart again
If only I can see that rainbow that comes after the storm

For the storm has passed at least for now,
I must begin a new start holding on to what I still have left
