Reflecting Pool
Entering the void my love doth layAmongst a sea of blue
The blinding light shined from the sky above
Gave witness to this day
When steady hands of purpose
Were placed upon its mark
Piercing through the unknown,
With precision and intent
As the waves of crimson began to flow from within
Racing thoughts stopped to ponder,
A mind now entranced
Gave way to reason
As hands reached in depth
To pull with fury at the treasure hidden within
Until success
Upon conclusion, from the wreckage of that day
Emerged a glorious sound
A sound I hear even to this day.
