Reflection

Through my eyes I've seen a gallimaufry of experience
We often ponder: What word could define our existence?
I carry this question in my heart with caution
For I know to this there is no simple solution
One word isn't enough to even begin to dissect
The grand spectrum collected of life's gray affect
Malign, evil breaks our souls to make them frown
Respect, in the slightest, makes us want to bow down
We live in a colorful world, of gray emotions, gray people
So I don't think a single word could reflect experience
But if I had to choose one, I guess I'd choose persistence

This Poems Story

This poem is about how a single word cannot describe life or meaning, because there's so much of a range of life that people experience.
