REQUIEM AETERNAM DONA EIS
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
A frail sickly-looking padre’ looking as pale as the robe he wore.
He came to the Island seeking to enlighten the natives by the cleansing of their sins.
The padre was tall and thin we all knew he was living on borrowed time.
I receive to news and rush to the scene to see him grin his face deface.
The town folks gather at the edge of the bay we call Anise Captain.
His lifeless body floating face down in the water dashing upon the rocks.
In jump some brave soul swimming towards the current and the padre
Alas, when they pull him out, he was dead, this left the county incredibly sad.
What was he doing out there the constable ask walking alongside the bay?
His body was wrapped in fine linen and taken back to his homeland.
The area will forever be known as the dreaded place Anise Captain.
No one swims anymore at Anise Captain where the padre soul is laid to rest.
