Scarred Heart

We were made for each other
Everything was put into place
The planets all aligned
The stars were at the perfect space
When you were with me
My life, our time just stood still
And now
An empty heart with a hole it
Now has to be refilled
I cried every night until the sun came up
Then one morning my crying
It just stopped
Doesn't mean I don't think of you everyday
Or my love for you just went away
My love for you had my heart filled
Over flowing at the top
Filling it may not be the problem
It's giving someone else a shot
So many things brings memories of you
I know you're with me
At times
No matter where I am
I can smell your perfume
I don't wish to see anyone right now
I just want to sit here alone in the dark
Let me be sad and just maybe
In time
Moving forward
Patching the hole
Which is now a scarred heart
