SCHIZOPHRENIC LOVE
She would bring me in
then kick me out,
she would ignore
then ask for help.
she'd act so close,
but her eyes were far.
she would lay so still
her love was scarred.
sometimes bright
sometimes confused
i think she had enough
of being abused.
alone in her room
sometimes for days
i would try to call
never saw her face.
She drove me crazy
tried to understand
she was too far gone
couldn’t take my hand
overly protecting herself
her guard's always up
it was such a cryin' shame
she couldn’t feel my love.
then kick me out,
she would ignore
then ask for help.
she'd act so close,
but her eyes were far.
she would lay so still
her love was scarred.
sometimes bright
sometimes confused
i think she had enough
of being abused.
alone in her room
sometimes for days
i would try to call
never saw her face.
She drove me crazy
tried to understand
she was too far gone
couldn’t take my hand
overly protecting herself
her guard's always up
it was such a cryin' shame
she couldn’t feel my love.
