Seeking Self
Inadequate self esteem
Needing to be seen
Judging yourself for who you think you are
Failing to believe that you’re really a star
But I can’t blame you
They do it too
Judging for what they believe to be true
After all
We believe what we see
But gold is often hidden
In perfect misery
Faith in nothing other than the dust
That clouds our lazor vision
And takes away our trust
Needing to know
Yet not wanting to grow
Thinking each one is the best
Failing all life’s tests
Magic never gripped
Divinity stripped
Dust blurs the way
Tainted vision
Leads them astray.
Needing to be seen
Judging yourself for who you think you are
Failing to believe that you’re really a star
But I can’t blame you
They do it too
Judging for what they believe to be true
After all
We believe what we see
But gold is often hidden
In perfect misery
Faith in nothing other than the dust
That clouds our lazor vision
And takes away our trust
Needing to know
Yet not wanting to grow
Thinking each one is the best
Failing all life’s tests
Magic never gripped
Divinity stripped
Dust blurs the way
Tainted vision
Leads them astray.
