Shaodwy Figure

By Michael

Shadowy figure pointing his finger at me
Voice such a thunder piercing the peace
Abscess my youth, and abrasive in truth
You’ve callused what you’ve caused
And you’ve covered all excuse.

Shadowy figure laughing and lunging at me
Sureness torn asunder, searing beneath
Absence my youth, new found zeal subdued
You’ve never sought solace, and you’ve never asked to.

Now face to fate at this predisposed precipice to be
Yet this shadowy figure pointing is actually me.
