The Bloom Upon The Rose

Life is filled with beauty,
Good and lovely things,
Nature filled with wonder
To us it often brings.

Not everything is gloomy
Morose with future doom,
There are many heartaches
But treasures also loom.

So help us God each day
To view life from this view,
And never see just Roses
Without their fragrant bloom.

There's always thorns upon the stems,
And there will always be.
But what a shame for you and me
If that is all we see.
