The Devil

Lonely girl in her lonely world

She holds her delusions like a precious pearl

Her thoughts are consumed

His interest presumed

Lost in this sad fantasy

Rain falls through the holes of her canopy

The devil fed her fat full of lies

Feeds her until her reality dies

A tale too good to be true

Her shaded vision turns blue

A life meant for the shadows

Just meant to take the wicked blows

Never meant for love and grace

It’s a formality she’s in this place

Lonely girls in her lonely world

Holding her delusions like a precious pearl
