The dog is down
Pain in the sky burden as it mayPulls truth to the surface day by day.
Shifts are coming, tides a change
Although my own residence feels strange.
Come what may, come what might
My reflection my own sight,
Sore eyes I have, the dog is down,
No song, just sobs an overwhelming sound.
Overwhelming is my new norm,
Whom am I kidding, it’s an more introversive storm.
My heart strings cut, my neurons have fled,
Normality has escaped within my head.
The gates have opened they’ve run free,
Where is the ruler of me?
Left to fend for all, no weapon in hand,
Naked, bruised and alone I stand.
I scream but sound there is not,
I feel the energy but no vocals drop,
Where did my voice go come back please HELP…
under water drowning covered in kelp,
Shackles weighing me down to the ocean floor,
I’m not ready for that I want more.
I will fight and rise from the depths,
I am the RULER I am not kept.
Daily affirmations I continue to drill into my soul,
Words are words do I believe them? NO.
I want to, sure who wouldn’t? A fool,
Are you better than he by mean of school?
A fool is no fool experience outweighs the books,
Say what you will and throw your looks.
No better than I are you, your skeletons in a pile,
Tidy is your home and fake is your smile.
Bearer of truth I wish to be,
But your story to be told and not by me.
Do as you will, perhaps take it to your grave.
It’s fake and disturbing for what face do you save?
I refuse to follow suit a flush still a flush.
Why are your cheeks red as you blush?
Fore am I your mirror you feel my words?
Yes they’re for you, are you going to say I’m “absurd”.
Continue to be shackled and keep those closet doors shut,
I refuse to do the same and stay in the rut.
My skeletons I will dig up and release,
Fore no one else is my burden only I can earn my peace.
