the happy way

which a way the man to thread
to gain the greatest things indeed
of life most valued treasure
but glitter of shells and stone on the tiding shore

from everywhere the people came
through their walk of fame and shame
to get what their heart desire
the share of treasure by the fire

with burning heart they carry on
the earmark of fervor they have shown
to bind and twine themselves for once
to light the beckon for a glance

on the table the pie is served
a pinch of taste that sooth the nerves
through their eyes bloodshot with wine
in their mind seems time dont shine

so they party night and day
in every corner and step of way
while the world slip away
it is done the happy way
