The heartbreak I didn\'t expect.

You took me completely off guard,
I didn’t see it coming.
How could i not realized,
That you were drifting away.

We had just talked,
You told me you loved me,
Was that all just a lie?

You told me in the beginning of it all,
That you wouldn’t hurt me.
You told me that you wouldn’t leave,
So why the change?

Was i not good enough for you,
Was my love too much?
What did i do,
I just don’t get what went wrong.
A few weeks ago you told me –
You would never leave me,
What happened?

You are still my everything,
Even if I'm not yours.
I will always love you,
I hope you know that.
I wanted “us” to be forever,
But I guess fate had other plans.

This wasn't a heartbreak i expected,
We were talking about our future.
How did we get here,
I will forever wonder,
why it all had to be put to an end.
