The incorruptible

When God's compassion
never fails
yet you take the food
out of the children's mouth,
you are doing what is deemed
uncouth?

If God
will never let his children
go begging on the streets for bread
yet you demand a miracle
of two fish and five loaves,
are you spitting in the face of God?

I wish I could praise the Lord
with the lyre and the flute
but I could not bring glory to God
in the ditties of the world
and the food stalls
of the merciful?

Let the truth be told
with the Word beneath your hand;
swear by God's provision
and the abundance
of his grace
and the depth of his love!

Do you
set your hands
on the table of deceit
with golden forks and golden knives
and golden spoons
to justify your greed?

Are you seated
on the despicable chair
of the king of lies
with the plate of falsehood
and the soiled napkin
of untruths before you?

There are six things
the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that she'd innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.(Proverbs 6:16-19 NIV)

This Poems Story

Many prey on the kindness of the compassionate and merciful. It reminds me of a time when the less fortunate would take from the poor. In the same way the haves would steal from the have nots. This meant that a small group of South Africa\'s population would benefit from the less fortunate and the poor.
