The Lovers

They say love is pain

And honey I think that’s what we are

Hearts battered and burned

Cut up and scarred

But the feeling is good

Oh So good

Kisses like summer heat

The love we make sets us ablaze

We raise our voices

Throw our hands

But smooth touch ignites

The fire within us

These lovers are forced enemies

Then lovers again, steamy and dreamy

Bodies intertwined and never ending

We think alike but we’re pulled apart

This was written in the stars

By the universe and the Gods

Two opposite entities in the same breath

Love stronger than we can feel

So it takes a lifetime

They say love is bliss

And babe I think that’s what we are
