The Open Door

By Denita

Together we stood on common ground. In each other a friend we found. Not speaking words with deafening sound. It is to fear that we are bound.

Where you walk seems always grey. I hoped tomorrow would bring the Sun your way. We both know we cannot stay. Our desires we will not find today.

We will go on like before. Both wanting so much more. This has become too big a chore. Now I'm closing the open door.
