The orchid

Have you ever awakened from a dream so vivid it lingers even as the morning breaks?
A dream that kisses you with a feeling so profound that it seems to touch every part of you, yet slips away as you try to embrace it?
Have you ever yearned for just one more glimpse of that familiar yet undisclosed apparition - That source of wonder, that feeling of inverted anxiety.
Could you believe that these fading memories are bound to reality?
That they could be as real as the soft skin that covers you in its vail of radiant beauty?
Could we accept that something as fallacious as destiny could truly exist? Not only exist but is in fact intertwined with our dreams?

If so, then I would argue that you are that dream.
You are the source of that incredible feeling that dissolves from me only moments after I wake.
Perhaps our souls have met in secret, free from our flesh, night after night in a cosmic embrace.
And now, finally, we can see each other in the light as that feeling I longed to find again has returned, as we reunite.

Why is that embrace so elusive that it only lingers momentarily as the astral decays and the physical constructs?
Is it a call from deep within? or from a distance that is so far that I am only hearing the remnants of its origin?
Why is this fluttering in my core so familiar when I stand with you, that it brings me to that point of transition where amnesia begins and that blissful enigma escapes me?

I would stare the architect dead in its eyes and strip it of its builders hands and rip apart the foundation of this reality to find that source that makes me feel complete.
I would stand in the orchid in unyielding limbo until I was the only remainder,
until the tree's have lived full lives and withered away through generations upon generations until it was just me if,
on the other side of oblivion I would find nirvana.
If I knew I would find you.
