The Outcome

I know in my heart we all feel somethings wrong...
Yet so many of you succumb to the siren's song...
Look to your brother and tell me you don't see...
The hatred that now lies at the heart of he and thee...
Well I do refuse to refrain...
Refuse to shy away from your disdain...
Thou who holds not a hope in your heart...
Thou who wields words like a poison dart...
Who seeks to cast down the innocent and meek...
When really you should kneel to wash their tired feet...
Lately my only comfort has been in the rain...
And watching it slide down my dirty window pane...
My window may be dirty but my view is perfectly clear...
Someday soon none of us may remain here...
