The reality of life
There was a miser who packed his bagson his way to heaven
with two overstuffed suitcases
carrying them in each hand
they were bulging with money
and all his possessions sold
to live life for an eternity
with all his cash and gold
lived his life like a king
with luxuries galore
never in need of any want
ignoring those that were poor
he didn’t leave an inheritance
charities he abhorred
thought he could buy his way into heaven
just in case he was detoured
So on his way to the pearly gates
when he got there they were locked
seeing a fire red carpet to follow
"maybe this way won’t be blocked"
it lead him down to a graveyard
with tombstones as far as he could see
in front of him was a tomb that was dug
a headstone with his name
on his left there was a mountain
garbage cans filled with assets
along with huge piles of bagged money
a collection of other's efforts
rising from the grave appeared a sickle
held by a skeleton in a black tonsure
the man was glad he brought his money
positive he could bribe the reaper
but the reaper stood tall and strong
as he floated up in his blowing death shroud
pointing to the heap with his boney hand
and said “Sorry sir, no baggage allowed!”
