THE VISITATION
Upon my pillow, I rest my head it was the wee hours of the morning
She came to me first but in a distance floating in mid-air
I quickly recognize her even though she was beautifully dressed
Her pail silk dress with laces at the bottom and embroidery at the top
A white hat with ribbons of purple she was fair to behold
Don’t come any nearer to me I shouted to her for I know who you are
Yet she kept on coming as if to glide my way I am not ready yet I said
She moved but a foot away from me I could smell the perfume scent
She look lovingly straight into my eyes her own eyes were misty color
What do you want I ask with a strong firm voice as our faces met
Not a word did she utter but stared at me as if to look right into my soul
I am not afraid I told her but I don’t want to follow you now it's too soon
As she started to move away from me her appearance slightly changes
She now looked like the figure of a middle-aged man clean-shaven
I know the lord I told him Jehovah is his name he sings a sweet song to me
Moving away from me I could see the expression of wonder on his face
I went on saying to him Jehovah claim me when I was but a wee lad
Then I ask him or I told him are you surprise to know that we are down here
He continues to drift away from me changing faces every second he moves
I saw him as a farmer then he was a hunter I could tell from the hats he wore
One last look in my direction and he was gone as suddenly as she appeared
Upon my pillow, I rest my head a visitation from the Lord I did witness
I arose to quickly write down the accounts of the nameless angel of mercy
A true encounter as I lay in bed.

This Poems Story
One night visitation as real as the daylight, as pure as the driven snow, as real as water, and as fresh as the air we breathe, I was touch by the presence of a nameless one.
