Touch the Universe
How many should a poem touch?
Write for the anger in your soul,
Or write for the one you love?
Should all mankind be touched,
Or is it just too personal?
Feel the cold,
Release the dove,
Make it commercial,
Or imitate the masters of old?
Are you impressing anyone?
Did you touch the universe?
Did you sell your rhymes
For a few coins?
It doesn't matter
For to each, his own.
