Trigger

an alarm blaring in my mind

lockdown has begun

here you are in my thoughts again

i thought that i was done

the memories had gone

faded away to dust

one look at you

they all come back

in a painful recollection

the good times

and the laughs

the bad times

and the tears

presently my body quivers

struggling to comprehend

emotions flood in

breaking through the shell

anger and disappointment

reign high above all else

the realization like a shot in the heart

you will never know how it felt
