Two Times Equal

A world so different in which we all play a part
Nothing is bound for failure, before getting a start
As we dwell on ourselves, trying not to be smart
Allowing time to hear words coming from the heart

We void ourselves of envy, having no use for shame
Having zero need for winners, never playing the game
With all of our differences, we all started the same
Enough reason to not seek the one we would blame

Being equals at life's start, a reflection at its end
Against the one they call death, not one can defend
It will seek out our foe, will not spare a friend
It's imminent arrival is one we cannot transcend.

This Poems Story

I often think about the chaos and corruption in our world, and how there are so many that are needy as well as so many that are not. I fell asleep thinking about that one night and woke up with this idea in my head and started writing it.
