Waiting for Freddy
The rain falls
Amidst the buildings
The cars driving
The puddles forming in the pot holes
What isn't trapped
Mists toward the top floor of our building
It is humid under the awning
Waiting for Freddy
My bear
He reminds me of my rain coat
I didn't want it
I came back drenched
With my babysitter
I don't remember where we were going
Was it the day we saw the bird catch on fire?
Incinerated
All the musicians were there
But Freddy knew
It was a day for a raincoat
Amidst the buildings
The cars driving
The puddles forming in the pot holes
What isn't trapped
Mists toward the top floor of our building
It is humid under the awning
Waiting for Freddy
My bear
He reminds me of my rain coat
I didn't want it
I came back drenched
With my babysitter
I don't remember where we were going
Was it the day we saw the bird catch on fire?
Incinerated
All the musicians were there
But Freddy knew
It was a day for a raincoat
