Who are we?

The creatures having right to liberty
While stepping out of home, not sure of our safety
We still are in need of security
Guess, who are we?
Are haa yaar, We’re LADKI!

Never we’ve committed a crime but still are a prisoner
Had always wore in hand, the invisible darby
Because those were our ‘KAVACH – the protector’.
And guess, who are we?
Are haa yaar, We’re LADKI!

Can’t talk loud, can’t laugh loud, we can’t be us
Because society on their mind has developed a layer of rust.
“Log Kya Kahenge” is what we’re supposed to think about
Because regarding our character everyone has the authority to doubt
But the thing that makes us wonder;
Is why society doesn’t doubt boys’ character
We’re just in search of this answer……
Why with us such a blunder??

We’re just in search of this reply
When a girl is raped by a guy,
It says “It’s because of her short clothes” WHY….??

Being a part of that ‘we’ called queue;
I asked this society “Who the hell are YOU”?
And its reply was a simple cue;
“I’m just composed of people who are girls’ hew”.

The society told I’m not to blame for it,
I’m just a name given to a group of your culprit….

Huff, We’re the creatures having right to liberty
While stepping out of home, not sure of our safety
We still are in need of security
Yes, dear society, we all are LADKI…
