Withdrawal

I feel so numb.
I use to give you a piece of mind,
While you gave me peace in time.
Now this high has gotten hard to find.
Why'd you have to take everything and go?
You said this was dangerously addictive, that I know.
What do I do when I can’t use you to not feel so low?
This world is overwhelming and you’re what made it better.
Through time I was told things would get better, but does it ever?
I know I can be insecure but you were what eased my mind.
Here I am dying slowly and there's no medicine that can fix me.
I'm getting anxious waiting and feigning for your touch.
If I try something new I'm afraid it’ll be too much.
No one I turn to can make the right remedy.
I'm stuck with you on my mind even though we're better off separately.
I’m dying to feel your touch on my body.
I’m covered in sweat,
Dripping all of the things that I regret.
One more dose and I’ll be done for good,
I know this the thousandth time that I said I would.
The more I speak I sound like another addict.
You know that you got what I need some let me have it.
I’m ashamed of myself but I can’t stop my bad habit.
One shot, two shots then you're in my system. You’re poison to my veins but I want to be covered in you.
I lay on this floor realizing that it’s me I’m going to lose.
I never expected it be this hard to breathe.
Am I dying or reviving as I watch you leave ?
