I would like to inspire
Bring life with my pen
Pull you out of the mire
With the words of a friend

I wish I could heal
Make your pain fly away
Make this nightmare unreal
It would flee the light of day

But my strokes would be distant chimes
This is not a fairy tale
I've seen this too many times
I know that words fail

You've been so very strong
To face what you've faced
A precious piece is gone
