I grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated the University of Texas in Political Science in 1972 after a stint in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Lieutenant and served with the Fourth Infantry Division in 1967 and 68'. I returned and began working in the broadcast industry as a TV news photographer and reporter. There I fell in love with the camera and began making documentary films and industrial films before moving to Hollywood in 1987 to work in narrative films and TV. I have worked in that industry for 30 years.
