I have lived my entire life in Mississippi, graduated from Mississippi State University, and earn a living as a Certified Public Accountant in Jackson, Mississippi. I work on the fifth floor of a building in the heart of the city where the view from my office overlooks a monument to Mississippi writers featuring statues of William Faulkner, Eudora Welty, and Richard Wright. The academic side of me wants to believe it is coincidence but the writer and hopeless romantic believes it is a sign of my future success as a novelist. One day I hope to take my place among the great writers from my state and be known as a pioneer of modern literature.
