21st Century

This empty hole in my heart I cannot seem to fill
My happiness does not exist in this lifetime
We call the 21st century

Day by day
I realize how much my heart means to me
It hurts me deeply
How I have allowed myself
To feel this much pain
While letting it eat away at my body

I can only take so much
Of the negative around and inside of me
Giving up may seem like an easy way out
But that does not mean
Its the right way

Emotions built up like the Great Wall of China
Keep me from seeking happiness
Loving yourself so hard
To where you feel complete is important

Worrying yourself so hard
To where you feel unbalanced
Causes mass confusion
Being successful is important
Fulfilling your happiness is the key to life
