A Hopeful Fight

From the mirror of my boyish mind
I see a reflection of a warrior's might
Full of majesty, one of a kind
Kingly, having the glory of a medieval knight

As I bloom, that image seems fading
Once lucid, now dull
A variant of my knightly dreamy self, I am now wading
A great soldier full of activity, now a budding youth caught up in a lull

I seem not to find myself
Childhood dreams long lost
Rigours of growth keeping me on the shelf
Of my infant reverie, I wish to reclaim what is lost

Onward, I will remain unyielding
Pressing on, my zeal undying
