Advice from Grandpa

Well, Honey, I'll tell you:
Life for me hasn't been a cruise.
There has been holes,
Broken motors,
and ice burgs.
My little boat has run out of gas.

But, all the time,
Keep floating,
Don't put on the brakes.
Swerve around those ice burgs.
Glide on,
Don't stop rowing your row boat.
Just because you don't see land,

Don't you stop,
For I'm still driving,
And my life isn't a cruise.
