Awakening

Cluttered dreams while waking up.
Morning dew dangling from my cup.
Piercing breeze as I step outside.
Abstract leaves with shapes and colors still alive.
Smothered sun in the sky.
Walking brisk as my achey bones begin to cry.
Sleepy leaves along the frost bit path.
Crumbling steps as I fall to my knees.
Shallow rain fills the street.
Slick grass as I come to my feet.
Deafening silence amongst the clouds only to be broken by the moans of the railroad tracks.
High above and looking down.
Once again as I fall to the ground.
