Battle of the Two Armies
A place where two worlds collideWhere brains are the winner brawns aside
It's a place where you put all your strengths and weaknesses behind
And maneuver your moves in your brain
Let your enemy play his own game
Command your own army
Judge with your mind and beat his stratagems
Encourage your will to win and let your upper story do all the moves
Some flaws some with wits
A place where black and white are the same
No matter the race, no matter the age
Discrimination is not part of this game
For all, it is a cerebral game
This is your Armageddon so command without rest
For this is the final time we will play a game of chess
This Poems Story
I am Vivan Gupta, nine years old. I was born in India and moved to USA when I was six. I started to do poetry with my other hobbies like chess and origami. I live in New Jersey now with my inspiring brother and loving mom and dad. I got the idea for my poem when my mom told me to write about chess as it will combine my aspiration and hobby together. My dad guides me to be a good human being and he is a great cook. I love my family. I am a passionate poet and write stories too.
