Battles Within
Daily I fight a battle that sometimes feels like I will not winSo lost and confused I'm not quite sure where to begin
Often I just pretend
I strive each day to endure hardships that undoubtedly come my way
And work towards becoming a better person than I was yesterday
This is what it looks like when two worlds collide:
A future you must build with a past you cannot hide
There comes a crossroad in life in which you must decide
On which path to take, who you can trust in, and confide
But always remember it's important to be okay with who you are inside
Be someone you're proud to be, not someone you have to hide
