Black and Blue
Words to the wise,
Take heed to what you despise,
By letting go, you're only hiding your cries.
But to my demise
My love was truly blind.
Look beyond their eyes
And you'll see what's really true,
All the hurts, the pain will leave you black and blue.
Tormented and bruised by more than just a few,
All battered, torn and scorned
By a love that never grew.
What once was all good,
What once was all fulfilled,
Turned deep, dark and cold by a heart that never healed.
If only one knew of this I'm referring to,
The dangers, the cries of a soul turned black and blue.
Deep hues of indigo, purple and all sorts of blue,
With time will emerge in a yellow, golden aura,
Arising Anew...
Take heed to what you despise,
By letting go, you're only hiding your cries.
But to my demise
My love was truly blind.
Look beyond their eyes
And you'll see what's really true,
All the hurts, the pain will leave you black and blue.
Tormented and bruised by more than just a few,
All battered, torn and scorned
By a love that never grew.
What once was all good,
What once was all fulfilled,
Turned deep, dark and cold by a heart that never healed.
If only one knew of this I'm referring to,
The dangers, the cries of a soul turned black and blue.
Deep hues of indigo, purple and all sorts of blue,
With time will emerge in a yellow, golden aura,
Arising Anew...
