Bon Voyage

Her body was lay to rest on a bed of Lilies
Wrapped in a blanket of black roses
She wore a crown of thorns and tulips
Rubies and diamonds gently covered her feet
As her lifeless body floats on the blue indigo sheet
A sweet melody of lyre plays her favorite song

-Come along, come along
-Oh my dear child - let us sing along
-Let us be brave and strong
-Let us remember where our heart belong
-Come along, come along

It was the voice of love
A sweet and tender melody coming from above
The crowd stood still,
Watching her soul flying in the sky like a lonely dove

Bon voyage, bon voyage my queen,
Said the king in a sadly tone
Now I am all alone - old, with a broken bone
A divided kingdom and a throne made of stone
I am the last king of Cologne
