Born In The Wrong Time
We are all trapped in the cage of the life,
and it's cold inside.
Is there a better life lurking outside?
I've cried and cried until I've lost my pride
The lonely tears are escaping my eyes
Mama told me son, listen to the wise
For I was born in the wrong time
Not on a gold mine
But where I'm from, the sun always shine
And for us, this was a good sign
Yet, I have walked the stairs of pain
And I'm still hurting again
From these emotions and feelings I cannot explain
I just wish that love and happiness remain
But I'm still battling my demons in my dream
And I can hear them in my soul when they scream
Like lost spirits in the death valley
Chasing souls, like cats chasing rats in the dark alley
and it's cold inside.
