Bully in the School Yard

You're the bully in the school yard,
Broken as can be,
Lashing out at everyone,
Praying they won't see
Lashing out is your make up,
Your way to hide,
Hide from the never fading scars
They are always right beside you,
Glowing in the dark,
Stories you refuse to ignore,
Because scars are deeper than the skin
Lashing out is a distraction,
A way to keep your weak side hidden
Society has told us that weakness is a curse,
But it's human
You're the bully in the school yard,
Being bullied by the bully in your head
