Chamomile Tea
Chamomile tea, each night before bed,
Sipped contentedly as she read;
Her body and soul, completely soothed-
A remedy that was repeatedly proved.
She followed this pattern nightly
For peace to settle upon her, kindly.
A troubled spirit, she would not keep;
No sense to disturb her sleep.
Many aches, daily, this world does cause;
T'would not do to allow such loss
Of her own energy, over pain, she'd not permit-
Except to take insight, then move from it.
All the more reason, a quiet moment sought;
She'd take in the day, everything it brought
And breathing a deep breath, the aches would fade.
The help of chamomile tea, a good night bade.
Sipped contentedly as she read;
Her body and soul, completely soothed-
A remedy that was repeatedly proved.
She followed this pattern nightly
For peace to settle upon her, kindly.
A troubled spirit, she would not keep;
No sense to disturb her sleep.
Many aches, daily, this world does cause;
T'would not do to allow such loss
Of her own energy, over pain, she'd not permit-
Except to take insight, then move from it.
All the more reason, a quiet moment sought;
She'd take in the day, everything it brought
And breathing a deep breath, the aches would fade.
The help of chamomile tea, a good night bade.
